Heber 2009

So Derek and I finally got a day off together on July 16th!!! We decided to go to the lake and see what Olivia thought. She loves to play in the bath so we new she would love the lake. We invited a couple of friends along that we don't get to see very often. Andrea, Selena, Kari Beth, and Tayler! We had so much fun. We put Olivia in her floaty and at first she was real sleepy and kept laying her head over. Then she finally woke up and started talking and kicking her legs like she was trying to swim. We only stayed for a couple of hours but we had so much fun. When we left Olivia had not been in her car seat for just a few minutes when she went to sleep. She was so tired. It was so nice to be together as a family and share it with some friends that we miss. And thank you Derek! You were awesome handling being the only male there!!!

Sleepy Girl

The other night Livvy and I were playing hard in the living room floor. Livvy was going from one side of the room to the other playing with her toys. I couldn't keep up so I just sat in the middle of the floor. Olivia was playing and talking up a storm when all of the sudden I noticed she was very quite. As any parent knows that usually means they are doing something that they shouldn't! I turn around and look behind me and I see that my little Livvy Bean is fast asleep. It was too cute!!!

Our 4th of July

The 4th of July is always a hard day for me because it is the day that I lost my Granny Lou. I have not celebrated the 4th since she passed. But this year I wanted it to be different because I want Olivia to enjoy the holiday. Derek and I were lucky enough to get the after noon off on the 3rd so we could go to Daddy's. It was so much fun. It was the first time the grandchildren have been toghether. With the exception of Layla. We had a wonderful time and hope that we can do it again soon. On the 4th Derek's brother Ethan and girlfriend Tayler came down and we went out to eat. We can't wait for them to come back so we can have some more fun. The picture below is Olivia and Aunt Tayler. This is my daddy and Olivia. She looks so much like him in this picture!

Hopefully next year we can all do this again. It helped me get through the holiday so much easier being able to be around family and having so much fun!!! Thanks guys and we love you all!!!
