Just for fun!!!!

I just wanted to share this picture of Olivia and Derek. She is such a Daddy's girl! He can walk by her and if he does not speak to or love on her she will have her self a screaming fit. She loves her daddy so much.

The further I get with my pregnancy it gets harder for me to get down in the floor to play with Olivia. Right now it is almost impossible. Well I can get down just not back up!!! So last night I felt bad that I could play with her in the floor so I gave her plastic bowls and wooden spoons. I don't know who enjoyed it more. Olivia or me! She wouldn't put the spoons down for anything and I loved watching her try and crawl with them!!

Ok. I have started to crochet again. I have not done this in a very long time. I am super exicted about it and can't wait to finish my first blanket. It is a very simple stitch that I am starting back with. But I got carried away with it and when I am done it will probaly fit a twin size bed! I am having fun with it though and can't wait to learn new stuff. So watch out Amber and Stephanie. Amber is my tutor now and my friend Stephanie is a cross between Betty Crocker and Martha Stewart!!!!

A Little Bit of Everything

Olivia is 9 months and has gotten her first ear infection. This is the first time she has been sick and as bad as it hurts me that she is sick I think we have done pretty good going this long with out illness. The doctor had to clean out her ear and Olivia hated it. She does not like to be held down to have her ears cleaned! Olivia also has her top two and bottom two teeth in. And she has 4 more coming in. She is also finally crawling forward and lets go when she is standing. You can tell she is thinking about taking a step. She also loves fruits. Apples and strawberries are her favorite. She is not crazy about sippy cups yet. She just likes to throw them. And she loves Cheerios!

As for Layla, she is very active. She is constantly kicking me. And she treats my bladder like it is a trampoline. I am very thankful for her but I am so very tired of being pregnant! Come on September! At my next doctor's appoinment he should schedule me for our last ultrasound.

Derek is still working for Kensett PD. It is summer and very very hot out there. Poor thing has to wear black. Pants and a Kevlar vest are very hot in winter so I don't know how he does it during the summer. He also still works part time for Bald Knob and auxillary for the County.

As for me I still work at the 911 center. I like my job but wish I were able to be at home more with Olivia. I also wish I had more regular working hours. As for me and summer, I feel like I could sleep in the deep freeze and still burn up!

September is going to be a very busy month for us, so any ideas and/or suggestions are welcome. Olivia's birthday is the 4th, Derek's is the 5th, and Layla will be here around the 20th. I am trying to think of ideas for Olivia's birthday. So send me your suggestions.

Welcome To Our Life

Ok so I thought since my wonderful and crafty sister n law can do this I thought I would give it a try! Derek and I got married January 6, 2006. We welcomed our first child Olivia Grace on September 4, 2008. She is a wonderfully silly and active little girl. She has kept us very entertained. She is such a good girl. We are expecting our second child Layla Elizabeth around September 20, 2009. No we did not plan on having our second so quickly! But we are very blessed because we know that Olivia and Layla will be very close. As of right now Olivia crawls backwards and walks while holding your hands. She is also constantly talking. When she was born she was a momma's girl. Now she is being a daddy's girl. As for Derek he has been a police officer with Kensett for almost two years now. He also works part time for Bald Knob and also auxillary for White County. He loves his job and would not be happy doing anything else. As for me I work for the White County Communications Center as a 911 dispatcher. We dispatch for numerous law enforcement agencies, fire departments, first responders and work closely with North Star and State Police. I love my job. I have done it for years. I have tried other jobs but always missed dispatching and was always unhappy. Derek and I would not trade our little family for anything. We also love are large family for all the love and support they have given us over the years! Thank you!
